If you are in Switzerland and come across a clinic that has issued a notice to patients informing them that they no longer accept the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) please contact MPI Brokers immediately as this should not be the case. Our Managing Director Michael has been in touch with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) who have advised that the EHIC is very much still valid during the transition period of the UK's exit from the European Union.
