2022’s Amateur Inter-Club Championships are underway…

As a longstanding sponsor of The Amateur Inter-Club Championships, MPI are very glad to see the event back after it being cancelled last year. It is the 14th year and it’s back better than ever, the flags are up, the sun is out, and the races are well underway. With the Giant Slalom and the Fun Team Parallel slalom taking place yesterday, we’ll be here Social Media-ing you updates as an when we receive them.

Angus Pettifer, son of our Director who’s at the event racing for Marden’s ski club has given us a little update on the snow conditions in Wengen:

On-piste is beautifully groomed, off-piste is cruddy or non-existent. It last snowed here about 2 weeks ago, but it has been very cold since then, so the snow has hung around. However, the last day or 2 have been warmer, so south facing slopes are starting to accrue slush in the afternoons.” – Oh we wish we were there!

Some of the clubs competing include the Downhill Only Club (the hosts this year), Marden’s Club, Ladies Ski Club and Kandahar Ski Club – the competitions are going to be tight, but we hope everyone enjoys themselves!

We put together a video of the last 13 years of the AICC to reminisce on, have a little watch and we hope you enjoy it!

Good luck to everyone at the AICC, and we’ll see you next year with our famous MPI Cowbells!
